This is a cooking website using only 100% all-natural organic food, transformed into “the cuteness”. What you see here is real food which we should be eating daily instead of the commercial food we are used to eating.
Organic food used to be just food. Ever since the food industry won us over, they started to put chemical and e-coli in their products and have been selling these “foods” like they’re safe to eat. Have you ever wondered why your kid’s birthday cake was so colorful? It’s because you think it’s a good idea to celebrate a special day with a beautiful colored cake and that’s perfectly understandable. Kids love colors and it looks impressive in a picture. But did you know that you are also looking at the very moment why your kid will end up having brain cancer and tumors in the future? You need to know all this especially if you’re a parent! ♦And I’m here to share how to create supercute food using only healthy products.♦
2 Reasons of Yukitchen:
I decided to start Yukitchen after experiencing these two things in 2012:
- My very good friend was diagnosed with brain cancer.
No one knows why, but I know his lifestyle was nowhere close to healthy (eating junk food, not enough sleep, etc). It was also why I spent hours reading about his condition and the importance of healthy living. Watching him looking weaker every day, broke my heart every time I saw him in a hospital bed. We need to do something with our lack of education in health and nutrition before something worse could happen! He’s currently taking chemotherapy in Scandinavia and still fighting his cancer. We text each other often with the pictures of the latest food we bake 🙂
- I had an eating problem.
I’m a happy girl most of the time, but I really wasn’t when I lost my best friend and a family member at the same time. After the funerals and too many anxious Annie moments (nothing medical, just something where I felt great sadness and so), I started to have a health problem. I was having trouble eating and sleeping…well, basically having trouble living 🙁 Instead of popping pills my doctors prescribed, I decided to study nutrition myself. I discovered so many things that I believed it needed to be public information. Since there are many great health blogs doing the same thing already, I tried to spice things up with a hint of cuteness (and some geekiness, too). This has been nothing but -super- fun!!
Yukitchen was humbly started during the process of my recovery, my journey to health, and the amazing transformation that food can make in our lives.
3 things you will never see in Yukitchen:
♥NO MEAT on Yukitchen, because of the concern for animals and for us humans! Did you know that farmers have to feed drugs to animals to keep them healthy for our appetite for cheap meat? But public health advocates argue that the practice breeds antibiotic-resistant germs in animals that can cause deadly diseases in humans. That just sucks!
Also, think about animal rights. Ten billion animals are slaughtered for human consumption each year. Unlike the farms of yesteryear where animals roamed freely, today most animals are factory farmed: crammed into cages where they can barely move and fed a diet tainted with pesticides and antibiotics. These animals spend their entire lives in crates or stalls so small that they can’t even turn around. Farmed animals are not protected from cruelty under the law.
Have you ever heard of a doctor telling you to eat fewer veggies? No, but you have heard of doctors telling people to eat less meat. It’s pretty simple when you look at it, in this way.
♥NO OIL on Yukitchen, because oil makes you exceedingly vulnerable to cancer. Vegetable oils are highly processed, unnatural, and we don’t even know how to digest it. Many people believe that vegetable oils are healthy. But did you know that it’s 100% false advertising and there is almost no nutritious value in any oils? They contain no fiber, no minerals and are 100% fat calories. In other words, it’s bullshit!
Some people like to think coconut oil and olive oil are good for you. This is also 100% false advertising and they are NOT good for you. Coconut oil and olive oil are the better options than other vegetable oils, but that doesn’t make them healthy. They are still full of fat. If you worry about omega 3s, just take a tablespoon of flaxseed every day.
♥NO FOOD ADDITIVES on Yukitchen, because who wants to put chemicals in their food? Artificial food dye, preservatives, antioxidants, artificial sweeteners, and flavor enhancers…. Food today is filled with food additives and usually, we don’t even realize that there are chemicals added to their food. Food additives have been used for centuries to enhance the appearance and flavor of food and prolong shelf life. But do these food additives really “add” any value to your food? Let’s stop making evil food companies richer by doing exactly what they want us to eat!
What you see here is real food.
Food that comes from nature.
It nourishes our bodies and minds.
Yukitchen Food Art
Pandas and penguins, Rilakkuma and Chewbacca… My food art is inspired by my inner child’s soul, basically whatever I think is super cool. I get all the sources from watching movies and animations, visiting cuteoverload.com or daily newsletter from my geeky website subscriptions. My work is also highly inspired by the Japanese Kyaraben culture. Kyaraben is a type of Bento food decorated as characters like Micky Mouse or Hello Kitty. I dig this thing. It’s truly a heart-squeezing moment when you open a bento box and see a bunch of rice balls with bear faces. I’m here to increase the number of people who just can’t wait till the lunch time 🙂
Making food art without using food coloring, I admit it has been quite challenging. But with a little twist and ideas, you can actually make a great looking Kyaraben without poisoning your kids! I hope, I -really- hope, that mums around the world see my food art and realize this is the real food that they should be feeding their loved ones, instead of food with chemicals.
Here are just some examples of my work:
All these recipes are not only healthy, but also super fun to cook! I never get bored with cooking this food, and watching my people eat 🙂
All recipes you see here are safe,
because they’re made out of love and considerations ♥
After all, it’s all about love.
xx
